The 5K women’s division was led by new Martinsville resident, Buffie Hill with a time of 22:36. The men’s 5K was won by Caden Swisher of Reidsville, NC in 18:01.
In the 8K, the women’s division was won by Alice Kassens of Fincastle, VA, in 35:59. The men were led by Eli Roberson of Stuart, VA, with a time of 28:04.

RESULTS HARVEST MOON RUN 5K-8K
The final two 2024 Miles in Martinsville events will be the Turkey Two on Thanksgiving Day and the Holiday Run Festival on December 7.

The Turkey Two is a low key two mile run held at the Smith River Sports Complex. Runners and walkers will race over a course circling the Sports Complex and along the D&W Trail beside the Smith River.
The Holiday Run Festival is run at the iconic Martinsville Speedway. The event will include three categories. The Youth in Motion 5K, starting at 9 AM. The Southside 10K starting at 10AM. And, for runners choosing to run both races, the 15K Double Challenge. There will also be a non-competitive 5K Toy Walk. The course will include the race track, pit road and surrounding streets.
