It’s all happening this weekend and beyond – Concert, History Talk, Blue Jeans & Bling, Ghost Walk!

September 18, 2026

Sounds on the Square Saturday

Jam out with the MHC Historical Society as this year’s Sounds on the Square summer concert series closes with a bang — with the talented Rosebud Band of Floyd. The band features Ryan Thaw on bass, William Hairston on guitar, Colin Cospel on guitar, Blaine Kaiser on drums and Will Tillery on keyboard. Drawing inspiration from long-form improvisation, Rosebud stretches each tune into a living, breathing experience. Rosebud Band will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the MHC Heritage Museum, 1 E. Main St.

Ghost Walk

The main part of the Ghost Walk is entertaining, interesting and informative, with actors portraying actual figures in our local history who made Martinsville and Henry County what it is. The optional Haunted Courthouse ending is for the brave. We still are taking volunteers who would like to be involved with props, decorating and/or even scaring visitors. Call 276-403-5361 or email mhcghostwalk@gmail.com to participate!
