Dearest Readers,
It is with a flutter of excitement and a whisper of anticipation that this author reports on the most anticipated engagement of 2026…”Starlington”, an event that resembles what most TV viewers know as “Bridgerton”. Prepare your carriages, dust off your gloves, and ready your wits, for a spectacle is about to unfold.
Starlington will be a night of dazzling intrigue, scandalous waltzes, bourbon tastings and, dare we say, potential romantic connections.
The Particulars of the Evening
Event
The Grand Diamond of the Season Soirée

Saturday, the 21st of March, 2026
(Advance tickets are required.)
Time
Six O’clock in the Evening
Address
21 Starling Avenue, Martinsville, Virginia 24112

An impressive variety of adult beverages, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and dessert true to the period, as well as enchanting music and a gallery of the season’s most eligible (silent auction) await. Be certain to remain present for the much anticipated choosing of the diamond of the evening.
Attire
Business casual attire is all that is required, but if you desire to come dressed for the occasion, the following can be recommended:
Ladies
Gowns of empire waist, delicate gloves, and sparkling jewels. Feathers and silks are encouraged.
Gentlemen
Tailcoats, breeches, or dark dress coats with cravats. Uniforms are, as ever, a most pleasing sight.
Tickets to the Evening
Tickets to Starlington are currently available for the modest fee of $50. Tickets will remain available through March 13 at 5 p.m., unless all tickets have been reserved beforehand. Tickets will not be available at the door and attendees must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets will provide each guest with a welcoming glass of champagne, as well as a drink of their choosing from the available beverages. Each guest will also be provided with four bourbon tastings and the opportunity to purchase additional drink tickets for $5 each.
Yours in anticipation of the evening that awaits,
Lady Starlington
And remember, dear reader, I shall be watching.
