It’sssss back! Slither your way into the Virginia Museum of Natural History on Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day for the annual Reptile Festival!
Marvel over extraordinary live reptiles and amphibians, including snakes, lizards, turtles, salamanders, toads and more! Investigate reptile and amphibian specimens from the museum’s scientific collections, including preserved specimens, taxidermy mounts, and even fossil reptiles! Explore the reptile links between different scientific disciplines, such as herpetology, paleontology and invertebrate zoology, while interacting with scientists who are leaders in their fields!
Enjoy a wide variety of hands-on, reptile-themed crafts and activities! Capture your memory at the Reptile Festival Photo Booth! Be sure to stop by the balloon animal and face painting stations while you’re here…at no extra charge! Grab a bite to eat from one of the many on-site food truck options and round-out your day by shopping for the perfect souvenir inside the Museum Store!

• Free for members of ASTC Passport participating institutions
• Free for EBT cardholders
1. All admission takes place at the gate.
2. EBT cardholders must present EBT card & official photo ID to receive free admission. Free admission for EBT cardholders is valid for the cardholder (from any state) and up to 5 immediate family members living within the same household as the cardholder. Free admission for EBT cardholders is made possible thanks to the support of Hooker Furnishings, Carter Bank & Trust, and Community Foundation Serving Western Virginia.
3. Members of ASTC Passport participating institutions must present their membership card to receive free admission.
4. Friday attendees who wish to experience the festival again on Saturday may do so at no extra charge.
