Spencer-Penn in March

What’s Happening at SPC?

Storytime! – Saturday, March 7th, at 10 a.m. in the Hylton Library. This monthly program will include special readers, crafts, and other fun activities.  Come out and join us for this free program, fit for all ages!  No registration needed

Emergency Binder Workshop – Saturday, March 7th, at 10 a.m. with Sarah Bidwell. Cost is $10/members $15/non-members. Must pre-register by Thursday, March 5th. 
A second class will be held Tuesday, March 24th at 6 p.m.

Estate Planning 101 – Saturday, March 7th, at 11 a.m. with Sarah Bidwell. Cost is free/members $5/non-members. Must pre-register by Thursday, March 5th.
A second class will be held Tuesday, March 24th at 7 p.m.

Historical Presentation – Sunday, March 8th, at 3 p.m. with Jarred Marlowe. Enjoy this presentation regarding the Hairston family of VA and NC. There is no cost, but registration is encouraged.

Mayo River Virtual Meeting – Thursday, March 12th at 6 p.m. The Centre will be offering a space for community members to participate in the virtual meeting. Please reserve your space by contacting the Centre. There is no cost to participate.

Music Night – Friday, March 13th. Blue Ridge will play in the Alumni Hall. Gate opens at 5 pm, band starts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is a $5 CASH donation. Come enjoy some great mountain music and dancing! Concessions, including our ever-popular Spencer Penn hot dogs, will be sold. 

Biscuit Making Class – Thursday, March 26th at 10 a.m. hosted by the Virginia Cooperative Extension staff. Cost is $10. Must pre-register by Thursday, March 19th.

Bingocize – Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10 a.m. with Lillian Holland. Stretching, Balance exercise, Health Information and Bingo! Free Class!

Chair Aerobics – Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. with Judi Perrin. 45 minutes of exercise, strength building and fun! $5 fee

Pig Cooking – Mark your Calendars! Pig Cookin will be April 18th! Food, Vendors, Kiss the Pig and Tons of Fun!
