What’s Happening at SPC?
Storytime! – Saturday, December 7th, at 10 a.m. in the Hylton Library. This monthly program will include special readers, crafts, and other fun activities. Come out and join us for this free program, fit for all ages! No registration needed.
Music Night – Friday, November 8th. The Whitetop Mountain Band will play in Alumni Hall. Gate opens at 5 pm, band starts at 6:30 p.m. Admission is a $5 CASH donation. Come enjoy some great mountain music and dancing! Concessions, including our ever-popular Spencer Penn hot dogs, will be sold.
Beginners Sewing/Quilting Class – Saturday, November 16th 1 – 5 p.m.! Make your very own 16×16 quilted hotpad for the holidays. Participants should bring own sewing machine (preferably with a walking foot), iron, pressing mat, fabric and paper scissors, and a few straight pins. All other supplies will be provided. Cost is $55 per participant. Please pre-register by calling the Centre at 276-957-5757.
Paint Party – Saturday, November 23rd, 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. $30/members and $35/non-members. All supplies are provided. Instructor, Lisa Laliberty You must pre-register by November 15th.
1st Annual Christmas Extravaganza – Friday, December 13th, 5 – 9 p.m. Now accepting vendors! Join us for a festive evening with live music from The Country Boys, vendors, Santa photos, a Taylor Swift Dance Party, and so much more! Admission to the event is free. Admission to Alumni Hall for Music Night with the Country Boys is a suggested $5 donation. Concessions will be sold.
