Exhibit Opening Day
Saturday, February 15
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Adventure into an age when dinosaurs ruled the earth! Experience an incredible diversity of dinosaur fossils, cast skeletons and skulls, as well as exciting animatronic dinosaur displays and interactive elements, as you learn the fascinating story of dinosaurs and the role paleontologists play in providing our current understanding of these incredible animals.
In addition to the exhibit’s debut, opening day will feature a special education station hosted by the Southwestern Piedmont Master Naturalists. Special offerings include:
• Make your own fossil (while supplies last)
• A touch table, featuring real fossils – from ferns to whale bones
• A “prehistoric past” scavenger hunt
• Specimens and artifacts not normally accessible to the public!
