VIDEO NEWS RELEASE: Ross Chastain Visits Martinsville Speedway for a Day Ahead of Fall Playoffs NASCAR Race Weekend

NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs driver Ross Chastain visited Martinsville Speedway today for a day of interactive fun with the track staff and local business owners. Ross ran through a day of duties shadowing Track President Clay Campbell as his right-hand man, learning about the ins and outs of running a NASCAR track as they prepare for their big events.

Ross also met with local business owners as the community gears up for the Fall NASCAR Playoffs race at Martinsville Speedway, in Club 47, the hospitality space offering panoramic views over the famed short track, directly over the start/finish line.

  • Chastain spoke with local business owners in Southern Virginia, discussing the fast-paced environment of the sport and all that goes into racing NASCAR, including his famed “Hail Melon” move with a backdrop of the Martinsville Speedway Start/Finish Line (click here to download video).
  • Chastain talks about advancing to the Round of 12 in the NASCAR Playoffs and touches on the atmosphere racing at Martinsville Speedway while reminiscing on some of his best memories at the famed short track (click here to download video).

Fans can witness all the intensity short-track racing at Martinsville Speedway this fall in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs race weekend, as drivers in all three NASCAR national series compete for the final chance to race their way into the Championship 4.

The weekend will feature the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoffs races on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26, with drivers from the Cup Series rounding out the weekend on Sunday, Oct. 27, in the Xfinity 500. Fans can also catch the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Championship on Thursday, Oct. 24 in the Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300, followed by the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup.
