Honoring 250 Years of History: Virginia 250 Symposium Set for August 3rd in Martinsville

Join us for a powerful and engaging afternoon as the Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society proudly hosts the Virginia 250 Symposium, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

đź•’ Time: 3:00 PM (Program will begin promptly)
📍 Location: MHC Heritage Museum – 1 E. Main St., Martinsville, VA

This special event will feature three distinguished speakers:

  • Cheryl Wilson, Executive Director of VA250
  • Jeff Briggs, noted historian
  • Hunter Haskins, speaker and educator

Each will bring unique insight into Virginia’s rich history, the significance of this milestone anniversary, and the impact of our local heritage.

Event Highlights:

  • Welcome Remarks by Graves, on behalf of the Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society
  • Presentation of Colors by Andy and the Sons of the American Revolution
  • Pledge of Allegiance led by a local representative
  • Door Prizes given before each speaker — so arrive early and stay engaged!
