Smith River Spirits is a distillery located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just steps from the eponymous Smith River itself. The distillery was founded in 2019 by a group of individuals with varied backgrounds and a shared passion for small batch distilling and wine making.
Their philosophy lies in using sugars naturally found in fruit and using American white oak barrels for the aging process to create a totally unique and pure brandy experience. In addition to wine Brandy, they also feature a line of apple brandy products, playfully named after Patrick County attorney and co-founder Alan Black, called Apple Black.
