Uptown Connection Trail Mural
Like a postcard of yesteryear, the Uptown Connection Trail mural sends well wishes to visitors taking a break in Uptown’s newest pocket park. Designed and painted by local artists Amanda Honore Donley and Aleen Wilson, this mural is a picture-perfect addition to historic Uptown.
Part of Piedmont Arts' Public Art Program. Planned and funded by City of Martinsville.
Artist(s) Bio
Aleen Wilson is a glass artist and owns Gallery 22 in Uptown Martinsville where she sells her art and also teaches small classes. Amanda Honore Donley has operated Rose Window Studio since 1984, located in Martinsville until 2009 when moving to Woolwine VA. The studio produces custom architectural stained glass and paintings. Projects have been installed in places of worship, homes, businesses and public spaces. Amanda also enjoys teaching stained glass and art, and operates a small gallery of local art at her studio.
