7th Annual Martinsville Mile

THE 2024 MARTINSVILLE MILE

A BIT OF HISTORY

  • 2024 marks the lucky 7th year for the Martinsville Mile
  • The first two years we raced the MARTINSVILLE SPEEDWAY MILE around the iconic Martinsville Speedway. 
  • Then, in 2020, we moved to the Smith River Sports Complex for the SMITH RIVER MILE. 
  • In 2021, the race was run as the MARTINSVILLE UpTown MILE, starting and finishing at the "Big Chair" parking lot on Church St. 
  • 2022 brought a partnership with the city's Bee City USA designation when we ran the BEE CITY UPTOWN MARTINSVILLE MILE.  
  • Then in 2023 we moved to the Dick & Willie Passage Trail and a blazing fast slightly downhill course for the D&W MILE.  
  • 2024?  Fast was fun, so we are returning to the Dick & Willie Trail for the 2024 MARTINSVILLE MILE.
