A Weekend of Holiday Fun in MHC

The holidays are here and what better way to spend your weekend than enjoying our areas “Holiday Happenings”. Below is your guide for a weekend full of ultimate holiday fun in Martinsville-Henry County.

Friday, December 13th, you will begin the fun listening to music. Our historic Spencer Penn Centre will have two bands playing along with good food and homemade desserts. You don't want to miss out on this.

Saturday, December 14th, there will be plenty of options for the whole day. Santa, himself, will be at the local bakery from 11am-2pm. Head over to Rising Sun Breads for brunch and to have your picture made! A free homemade gingerbread cookie will be given to each child. Don't be surprised if other holiday characters appear as well. Then later, head on over to Holidays from the Market at our Uptown Farmers’ Market. Join the vendors and local crafters for some holiday fun! Get your holiday fix with baked goods, jams & jellies, crafts, homemade soaps, knife sharpening, fresh flower arrangements, jewelry, and more! Then to finish off the evening, Mountain Valley Brewing will host music this evening. Join them in the Brewery Barn for a great night with Ray Eanes LIVE the and the best craft beer in Henry County.

Sunday, December 15th, you’ll wind down the weekend with the Christmas Parade in Uptown Martinsville. 2019's parade theme is "The Magic of Christmas." Many spectators start their holiday season each year to the sounds of prancing ponies, motors rumbling and cool breezes blowing the tinsel on festive floats. We invite you to come early to do some shopping, grab dinner, and find your perfect spot on the parade route!
