Allman Brothers Tribute Band this weekend at the Rives!

Join us this Saturday, October 27th at the Rives Theatre for Skydog. Skydog was the nickname given to Duane Allman during his years as a Muscle Shoals session musician. Since 2009 this Richmond, VA powerhouse has become one of the most sought after Allman Brothers Band tributes in the nation. These six seasoned musicians rekindle the spirit of the original ABB line up. Driven by their passion to pay homage to Duane and Berry, Skydog revisits the early years with classic Fillmore East arrangements and unbridled grit. The members of Skydog share a long history performing together in other ensembles and after several years of talking about how much fun this would be, it was high time for Skydog to be unleashed.

Donate Life Virginia will be present at the show and is proud to partner with NASCAR driver Joey Gase for the First Data 500 at Martinsville Speedway.  At the age of 18, Joey tragically lost his mother, Mary, to a sudden brain aneurysm. Faced with a difficult decision, he and his family decided to donate his mother’s organs. Later, they learned that her gift helped to save and improve the lives of 66 people. Joey developed a passion for educating others on the need of organ, eye and tissue donation and honoring all of those affected by it. His car regularly features the face of his mother and others who have given the gift of life, making his one of the most unique cars in NASCAR.
