Caregiver Support Group

Thursday, April 7, 11am to noon.  Are you a caregiver for a friend or loved one?  Join us for a special workshop where you can share the rewards and challenges of caregiving while connecting with others who understand.  We will also talk about tips on managing stress.  Facilitated by Good Samaritan.  Free program.


Music Night 

Friday, April 8,  Travis Frye & Blue Mountain will play in Alumni Hall. Gate opens at 5 p.m. with the band going on at 6:20 p.m. Admission is a $5 donation. Come and enjoy some great music! Social distancing will be required with masks when that is not possible. Concessions will be sold.


Spring Grapevine Floriculture/Decorating Workshop

Saturday, April 9, 9 am to noon.  Join us to create your very own decorative grapevine wreath. Don’t have a wreath? No worries, one can be purchased for $10. Please state at registration if you will provide your own grapevine wreath or if you will need to purchase one.  All other supplies included.  Members $20/Non-members $25.  For questions or to register, please call the Centre at (276) 957-5757. Payment is required at registration. 


Pig Cookin’ 

Spencer-Penn is excited to announce the return of the 11th Annual Pig Cooking Competition on April 23rd from 10am to 4pm! Competitors will travel hours to compete in this Whole Hog Barbecue Competition and provide the Centre with some great BBQ available for purchase.  Barnival, vendors, cruise-in, silent auction, and more!
