Bob Vogler will present a program entitledBERNARDO DE GALVEZ AND SPAIN’S ROLE IN THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION”. Spain is America’s forgotten ally during the Revolutionary War and Bernardo de Galvez is arguably its most successful general having never been defeated by the British during his Gulf Coast Campaign. Spain contributed supplies, money, material, ships, and manpower as a “co-belligerent” during the war. This program is a concise summary of Spain’s assistance which helped to secure the independence of the United States. This program is free and open to the public and will be held in the Susan L. Adkins Memorial Meeting Room.
