Calling all campers! Celebrate National Camping Month this June in Martinsville-Henry County where you will find a variety of options to set up camp in style.  

Park your RV or pitch your tent at one of MHC’s campgrounds:

Cahill's Lily Pad RV Park & Campground: Situated along the bank of the Smith River, Cahill’s Lily Pad offers 122 full hookup sites with water, sewer & 30/50 amp electricity, plus 10 tent camping spaces.

Indian Heritage RV Park & Campground: Located beside the South Martinsville Access Point along the Smith River, Indian Heritage offers 29 full hook ups  and 17 tent camping sites; many overlooking the scenic Smith River. There’s also have a spacious lodge for rent that has 3 bedrooms, 1 ½ bath, and satellite television for long-term guests.

Philpott Lake: This pristine lake offers a wide range of camping with primitive sites, including Deer Island, which is only accessible by water, to full-hook up sites. Campgrounds include: Goose Point, Jamison Mill, Horseshoe Point, and Salthouse Branch.

Philpott Marina Group Campground: Located in a private setting overlooking Philpott Marina, the campground has 10 camping spaces each with electric, water and sewer connections.  The facility also has a new restroom/shower facility, picnic pavilion, the use of 2 boat slips, hiking trail to the marina and gate that can be locked at night.

Animal Adventures HipCamp: Infinity Acres Ranch is a unique property located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains situated on 61 acres featuring a beautiful pond & a delightful creek in the magical area of "Narnia" in the woods. Infinity Acres Ranch is home to over 43 different species of animals both domestic and exotic. Guest have options at booking to either chose to "just camp" or to have an interactive experience including feeding/watering the animals, grooming them and even going on a walk with a llama for additional cost!

Deer Island: Located on Philpott Lake, Deer Island is only accessible by boat, and therefore assures a great escape! Enjoy a tranquil stay under the stars, surrounded by nature.

Lee Ford Camp: A 17-acre camp with a 1.5 acre lake, several picnic areas with tables, a large lodge (up to 50 people - complete with full kitchen, bathroom and screened in porch), two bunkhouses, a small cabin and a climbing/rappelling tower. In addition, there are 6 primitive camping spots on the property that will accommodate several tents. The climbing tower is one of only a few in our region. The pond can be used for fishing (catch and release), and there is equipment for canoeing and swimming (must be supervised by a lifeguard). There is a baseball field for games and lots of area for hiking. It's an oasis in the middle of our community! The camp provides area youth and families a recreational opportunity promoting individual and group learning within a natural environment.
