Coming up at the Spencer Penn Centre: Music, Painting, & Crochet
Music Night at Spencer-Penn Centre is Friday, February 9. Doors open at 5pm. Open MIC is at 5:30, bring your instrument and join the group. At 6:20 The Shelton Brothers will take the stage. The Over The Hill Gang is on at 7:10. The Hard Times Band is on at 8:00. It’s sure to be a great night of music and dancing. Dust off your dancing shoes, grab a friend and come hungry, we will have the heat on. Concessions will be available. Chicken & Dumplings are back on the menu. Special Sunday Concert
February 25, 3pm, Reminiscing with Robbie and Betty
The duo, Robbie and Betty sing music to help seniors reminisce about their past. The music travels through the big band era, 50’s sock hop, 60’s ballads, country classics, timeless standards and gospel. The audience will recall songs from some of their favorite artists such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis, Fats Domino, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline and many others. There is no charge for the concert, but donations for the band appreciated.
Painting
Join us on February 10th, 11am to 1pm, as we welcome instructor Teedgra Blackstock for an acrylic painting class. This is a two-hour session and everyone doesn’t have to paint the same picture. The cost is $30 and supplies are provided. Please call the Centre for more information and to sign up for the class, 276-957-5757.
Have you admired crocheted pieces and always wanted to learn? Join us at Spencer Penn Centre for a beginner's crochet class with Amy Register. Students will make a scarf. All supplies provided. Cost $10/members and $15/non-members. Pre-registration required. 276-957-5757.

Loom Crochet
Saturday, March 10, 9am to 12noon, Clyde Holland instructor. Students will make a stocking hat using loom crochet. All materials and loom provided. Cost is $10 member and $15/non-member. Must pre-register by March 5th, 276-957-5757.
