Dale Jr. Added to Party Plaza Lineup

No. 88 National Guard Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. will liven up Martinsville Speedway’s Party Plaza with a scheduled appearance on March 30 prior to the STP 500.

Earnhardt, off to one of the best starts of his NASCAR Sprint Cup career, his second in the series points after four races. He claimed his second career Daytona 500 win in the season-opener and backed it up with two consecutive top-two finishes.

The addition of Earnhardt to the lineup gives the Party Plaza an amazing roster of drivers and celebrities on race morning.

Fellow Sprint Cup drivers Matt Kenseth, Kasey Kahne and Marcos Ambrose will join Earnhardt in the Party Plaza. The drivers will appear at different times and each will participate in an emceed question-and-answer session during their appearance.

NASCAR Hall-of-Fame members and race Grand Marshals Richard Petty and Dale Inman will also make appearances along with retired Sprint Cup star Ken Schrader, Miss Sprint Cup and Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell.

In addition to celebrities, there will be loads of fun and excitement in the Party Plaza. There will be four NASCAR show cars and trucks, plus racing simulators and lots of games for all ages with plenty of prizes to giveaway. A live DJ will be featured with music all morning long.

Vendors will be selling food and Pepsi products. There will be a beer garden offering an assortment of beer.

Admission to the Party Plaza, which also includes a Pre-Race Track Pass to walk along the front-stretch of Martinsville Speedway, is just $30.Tickets for the Party Plaza may be purchased by calling 877.RACE.TIX or online at www.martinsvillespeedway.com.

Ticket prices for the STP 500 start at $37. Youth 12 and under tickets in the Clay Earles Tower are $10 with teens 13-17 for $25 and adults only $57.

The Family Four Pack, which includes 2 adults and 2 youth 12 and under, start at just $90.

The STP 500 weekend at Martinsville Speedway is scheduled for March 28-30. The Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is scheduled for March 29 and Pole Day on March 28.
