"Look for us to have one of the hardest hitting defenses in the league. Spectators this year will see one of the fastest Storm team's ever!"
Last season the Storm finished undefeated during the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record and finished 11-1 overall.
The Virginia Storm Football team is currently a member of East Coast Football Association and the team has been in existence since 1993. The Virginia Storm gives young men the opportunity to play past their high school and college football careers and the team includes several former local high school standouts. The Storm is also very active in giving back to the community as they collect non-perishable food items for the Community Store House at every home game.
"This is the fifth season we have hosted the Virginia Storm and each year the quality of football and the experience for the fans gets better," said Director of Operations of the Smith River Sports Complex Billy Russo. "We look forward to what the season holds for them and are glad they call our complex home."
