Fall Into Fun This Season in Martinsville

Fall is here and so is all the fun! Check out some of the cool, seasonal events and offerings happening throughout Martinsville – Henry County.

Mayo River Corn Maze
Nothing says fall more than a corn maze and pumpkins, so don’t miss this season’s fun. Mayo River Corn Maze will be open every Saturday  from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and every Sunday 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM in October. A Hay-bale Tower, Giant Sandbox and Corn Hole are among some of the to-dos. Hay rides are also  included with admission price. And if you get hungry for a snack, grab a Fried Oreo or some Grilled Sweet Corn during your visit! Pumpkins are also available for purchase.

Halloween Hayride & Trunk-or-Treat
Henry County Parks & Recreation invites you to their annual Halloween Hayride at Jack Dalton Park, on Saturday, October 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The hayrides around the park will get spookier and spookier as the evening goes on. Trunk-or-Treating will also be offered in the parking lot of the park.

Costume Contest at Scuffle Hill
Little too old to Trick-or-Treat? Don’t fret, you can still get dressed up and celebrate!  Adorn yourself with your favorite costume and head to Scuffle Hill Brewing Company for their Costume Contest on Saturday, October 30th.

Zombie Walk at Mountain Valley Brewing
Zombies, and humans, make your way out to Mountain Valley Brewing on Sunday, October 31st and grab your favorite brew. Spend the afternoon in costume, or not, and enjoy music by Briz; Neil Young tribute artist. There will be drink specials all day including wine, cider and champagne while they last!

NASCAR weekend
NASCAR racing returns to the Martinsville Speedway during Halloween weekend again! Have a blast while camping at the track and displaying your best haunted campsite! This is a BIG (FUN) weekend for the campers in Martinsville – Henry County.

Chili Cookoff at Mountain Valley Brewing
Ahh, fall and chili, a fantastic combination! For the third year, Mountain Valley Brewing is hosting a Chili Cookoff at the brewery and encourages chefs to come out and put their best chili recipe to the test. The contest comes just in time as everyone is tired of turkey leftovers and ready for something else! And for the non-chefs out there, you are invited to come out and enjoy a bowl and a beer (or two).
