Reptile Festival
Virginia Museum of Natural History
April 21 & 22

The museum will offer a special event focusing on the reptile life that resides in Virginia and beyond. The event will feature numerous live animals, and specimens from the museum's scientific collections, and will serve as a celebration of the museum's upcoming herpetology research program.

The annual Pig Cookin Contest will have lots and lots of delicious fresh cooked BBQ with lots of entertainment and attractions.  Awards will be presented to the contestant whom the judges think follows the rules and guidelines of the NC Pork Association. The festival also includes live music, vendors, children’s Barnival, Pig Patty Bingo, a cruise-in and more!

Celebrate Earth Day at this fun Family Day for all ages. Create crafts using recycled materials. Face painting, games, and crafts with the Teen Arts Council. Complimentary snacks.

Rooster Walk 13

The 13th Annual Rooster Walk (RW13) Music and Arts Festival will be held at the beautiful, 151 acre, Pop's Farm (off of Hobson Road in Axton, VA) on  May 25-28, 2023. Rooster Walk is very family friendly and was named one of the Top 5 rock festivals in the state of Virginia by the Richmond Times Dispatch Musical genres will include funk, rock, bluegrass, country, blues, reggae, jazz, Americana and more. In addition to music, there will be food, children activities and arts & crafts. Primitive camping available. Campers are welcome, including RVs, tow-behinds & popups, no electricity. Children 12 & under free admission with a paying adult.

Spring Carnival
Infinity Acres Ranch

This family event will introduce Infinity Acres Ranch to the community and let everyone know about the wonderful programs for children, families and organizations, as well as adults with disabilities, that are offered at the ranch. The ranch is home to a large variety of animals including camels, a zebra, llamas, an emu, an armadillo, a wallaby, goats, and so many more!

Festivities include a petting animal area, vendors and music. 

SunBine Music Festival

June 23-25

This music festival is designed to celebrate the diversity of music on a beautiful farm brewery, where attendees come together to shine a spotlight on established and emerging talent, create memories and raise funding for future generations to enjoy music and the arts. All proceeds from the festival will benefit Girls Rock Roanoke.

Featuring fire performers during the evenings, plenty of food and craft vendors, and on-site primitive car camping, there's something for everyone. The name SunBine was carefully chosen to represent the summer equinox – a time when the farm grown hops are at the peak of development, with their bines gracefully reaching for the sunshine through the longest days of the year. Early Bird Tickets on sale March 2023.
