St. Patricks’ Day Happenings

St. Patrick's Day Geocache – Henry County Parks & Recreation will put the St. Patrick's Day cache out to find on Monday, March 11th at one of the local county trails. Download a geocaching app to see if you can find it. Coordinates will be posted to the Henry County Parks & Recreation Facebook page. Special holiday-themed goodies and trinkets will be inside.

St. Paddy's Weekend Party at Mountain Valley Brewing - Mountain Valley Brewing is the place to be for St. Paddy's Day festivities. They will have the decorations, the bling, the green beer and the shenanigans, and this year, they have 3 full days to celebrate! Make your plans now to check them out sometime during the fun-filled weekend. Live music kicks off Friday with Junkyard Jones out of Galax, Virginia, followed by Jake Earles on Saturday and the Bobby Frith duo with some Irish tunes to commemorate "the day". 

St. Patty’s Day Bash at Wild Magnolia - Get your green on and join the crowd at Wild Mags for St. Patty's Day! Karaoke, green beer, and Irish car bombs await you! Dress in your finest green attire and let's celebrate! 

Beers of Ireland - Join the Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society and Scuffle Hill Brewing Company on Saturday, March 16th, 2:00-4:00 P.M., at the Historic Henry County Courthouse. During the first hour, participants will learn the history, ingredients, and production of beer as well as different beer styles, hops, yeast, and beer presentation. During the second hour, attendees will taste Irish Reds and Irish Stouts, totaling approximately two pints. Irish snacks will be served. Wear your most green – prizes will be awarded.
