Historical Society to host Local History Trivia Challenge

The Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society will host a Local History Trivia Challenge in celebration of Local History Month in Virginia on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 7:00 P.M., at Scuffle Hill Brewing Company, 2620 Virginia Avenue, Collinsville.

Joshua Duncan, Historical Society Board Member and local history teacher, will serve as host and emcee. The winning team will receive cool prizes – but most importantly, bragging rights! All attendees will receive collectable cups.

John Phillips, Historical Society President, stated, “History can be fun! Join us for an evening of local history trivia – you won’t even realize that you’re learning something.”

The mission of the Martinsville-Henry County Historical Society is to promote an interest in the broad spectrum of history with emphasis on that of Martinsville and Henry County; to collect, preserve, interpret, and make available material relating to that history; to sponsor research and publications in the field of regional history; and to provide educational services to people and institutions throughout the area.
