March 16th : Camel City Collective feat. Roosevelt Collier & Billy Cardine

Join us for a very special, seven-piece all-star collective when the Camel City Collective welcomes Roosevelt Collier & Billy Cardine into their midst! Soft-spoken by nature, south Florida-bred Roosevelt Collier does his hollering on the sacred steel guitar. Brought up in the tradition of the House of God Church, Roosevelt built his reputation alongside his uncles and cousins in The Lee Boys, known for their spirited, soul-shaking live performances. At festivals, he is a regular “Artist at Large,” performing alongside many of music’s most prestigious acts, from the Allman Brothers, to the Funky Meters, to Los Lobos to the Del McCoury Band.

Billy Cardine has been recognized as a slide guitar pioneer, taking the dobro with him into unchartered genres. Cardines patchwork of diverse musical influences contributes to his chameleonesque ability to fit in with whatever collaboration he joins on the stage, or in the studio. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, the Ryman Auditorium and major festivals, such as Bonnaroo, Merlefest and Rockygrass. Billys distinct voice on all things slide has lead him to collaborations with Led Zeppelin’s own, John Paul Jones, the world renowned Edgar Meyer and alongside dobro king, Jerry Douglas.

The band will also featureAnnalise Stals (sax),Joey Rayfield (trombone; played with Prince);Nishah Dimeo (vocals),Nick Baglio (drums; Boulevards, Nicolay) and Bill Stevens (keys; The Lee Boys, Big Daddy Love).

Tickets will cost $12 in advance, $15 at the door, and season passes will be accepted. Music will start at 9 pm.
