McLeod Wins "You'll Love the Pace!" Sweepstakes

Martinsville, VA (October 11, 2011) - The Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation's (EDC) Tourism Division is pleased to announce the winner of their 2011 "You'll Love the Pace!" Sweepstakes, which was offered on the website
VisitMartinsville.com August 26th through October 3rd.

Wey McLeod of Richmond, Virginia entered the random drawing and won an exciting travel package to Martinsville-Henry County valued at more than $700. The prize package includes:

• Two Nights Lodging for two (October 29 & 30) at The Virginia Home Inn, complete with a VIP Breakfast
• Admission for two to the TUMS 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race scheduled October 30, 2011, at Martinsville Speedway®
• Choice of Prime Rib Buffet or Seafood Buffet for two at Mr. G's at The Dutch Inn
• Admission for two to the Smithsonian-Affiliated Virginia Museum of Natural History

More than 1,400 people entered the contest, representing 47 American states and the District of Columbia. The only states not represented in the drawing were Alaska, North Dakota and South Dakota. McLeod plans to travel to Martinsville at the end of this month with his wife
Cheryl.

According to McLeod, "This is so exciting. I've always wanted to make it to Martinsville but have never had the opportunity to come out before. What a great surprise!"

McLeod found out about the contest through an ad for Martinsville-Henry County in Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine and is looking forward to surprising his wife with the getaway. According to Jennifer Doss, Director of Tourism for the EDC, "Martinsville-Henry County has a lot to offer and this contest was designed to highlight some of the many options that visitors may choose to experience.
