Piedmont Arts and Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and Chorus are thrilled to announce the most highly anticipated event of the season: the Holiday Pops Spectacular. This year, this musical treat returns with a matinee performance. The concert starts at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3rd in the Martinsville High School Auditorium. Tickets are on sale now and are $20 for general admission, $30 for reserved seating, $5 for students, and can be purchased at Piedmont Arts or at PiedmontArts.org. Altrusa will collect non-perishable food items for Grace Network in the lobby during the symphony's performance.

There’s no better way to lift your spirits than with the music of the season delivered in full sound and spectacle by the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra. This year, David Stewart Wiley conducts the Holiday Pops with all the magical elements you have come to expect — high energy, familiar carols and lots of holiday warmth. The event will also be featuring the vocals of the talented Emme Cannon, a Roanoke native and recent Berklee graduate. Cannon has shared her “hypnotizing voice and delivery” (The Roanoke Times) with the Boston Book Festival, The Boston Calendar, the Songwriters in the Round (Part IV) at the iconic Grandin Theatre (BB King, Ray Charles), and the Two Track series where her performance has accumulated over 10,000 views. Her first self written and produced EP, Home Planet explores aspects of life beyond this realm and finding love in life’s uncertainties.
