Statement From Executive Director Heidi Pinkston:

"The past 13 weeks of the coronavirus pandemic have been a unique and previously unimaginable time, but there has been one constant we could all count on: The healing power of the arts. Piedmont Arts remains committed to our mission to inspire and engage our community through the arts. Although our doors have been temporarily closed, we've been able to engage the community through virtual gallery tours, engaging social media content and educational resources for students now at home.

"I am happy to announce that Piedmont Arts will reopen the galleries to the public on Thursday, June 11. I have been in close contact with the local health department and we will follow all guidelines outlined by the governor in Phase Two and by the CDC.

"The health and safety of our members, staff and community continues to be the most important thing to us. We will strive to make sure all guests will be comfortable and feel safe at Piedmont Arts.

"Now more than ever, we need art to inspire, comfort and connect. Piedmont Arts is devoted to remaining a vibrant source of inspiration for Martinsville-Henry County.

"Thank you for your continued understanding and support as we make this transition. Please visit our website for upcoming events and programs as we begin to reopen in a safe manner. We look forward to welcoming you back to Piedmont Arts!”
