What's Happening at SPC?

Storytime! - Saturday, May 6, at 10am.  Storytime is back at Spencer Penn! This monthly program will include special readers, crafts, and other fun activities related to Mother's Day!  Come out and join us for this free program, fit for all ages! No registration necessary.

Zumba - Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:45 pm. Zumba is back at Spencer-Penn Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:45 pm.  Drop-in price is only $8! (She will also be giving drop-ins a 32 ounce energy pack.)

May Music Night - Friday, May 12, at 6:15 pm  Join us for some great music and dancing at Spencer-Penn's monthly Music Night! The doors open at 5 pm, and longtime favorite, The Slate Mountain Ramblers, will take the stage at 6:15! Music will be in Alumni Hall. Concessions will be available. Admission is a $5 cash donation at the door.

Stained Glass Workshop - Saturday, May 20, 9am to noon.  Join Aleen Wilson of Gallery 22 as she guides students through an introductory workshop on a pre-cut stained glass suncatcher.  This will be focused on foiling and soldering pre-cut pieces to create your very own work of art.  Students should be 13 and above and register by calling the centre by May 11, as class is limited and is almost completely full.  All supplies provided.   Cost is $40/members and $45/non-members.  

Barn Quilt Class - Sunday, May 21,  1pm to 5pm
Options for the class:
24"x 24" exterior $65
36"x 36" exterior $85
12"x 36" exterior $75
2  12 x 12 exterior kits $80 
All supplies are provided. Class will be filled on a first paid first served basis. Design choice should be sent to the instructor at misslaurenbyron@gmail.com and questions may be e-mailed to Lauren or to Susan at spc.susan@yahoo.com. Cut off for registration and payment is Friday, May 12th.

Summer Camp Classes June 12 to July 27.  Registration has already begun and classes are starting to fill up, so call the centre at 276/957-5757 soon to register!

Floral Arranging - Sunday, June 11, 2pm.  Join Sandi Hite to create your own arrangement!  $40/members and $45/non-members.
