The Martinsville - Henry County EDC's Tourism Division offers a marketing co-op grant designed to assist the local tourism industry with marketing needs.
Local tourism-related businesses which contribute to the local tax base (Martinsville or Henry County) are encouraged to apply including Hotels/Inns, B&Bs, Campgrounds, Attractions, Spas, Restaurants/Cafe's, Retail/Outlet Stores and Established Events.
Awards may be up to $1,000 per business; however, no award shall exceed 50% of the total marketing project. A marketing plan will be required in addition to an application and awardees are encouraged to use local marketing providers.
For-profit, businesses with fewer than 20 employees are also eligible for an additional grant through the EDC’s Business Development Division.
Tourism Success Stories:
"Being awarded the tourism marketing grant allowed us to pursue an aggressive advertising campaign to promote our Dino Day festival held earlier this year, which ended up being the highest attended, single-day event ever hosted at the museum,"
