The Smith River Paw Park

Parks & Trails

The Smith River Paw Park, located on-site at the Monogram Foods Smith River Sports Complex, is a 2.5 acre wooded dog park for your furbabies to have fun and socialize. Your furry friend will love sharing the experience of nature and hiking with you in a safe, fully-fenced natural space. Plus, more off-leash time will help both of you feel great, bond, and improve your overall well-being. When entering the Sports Complex, turn left at the “River Access” sign and drive to the trailhead of the Paw Path.

The park is accessible to members only and memberships can be purchased through the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA.

Membership is required. To get a membership, you will need to 1) fill out and return a Registration Form, 2) provide your dog's license, and 3) show proof of current rabies shot. The Paw Park Registration Form can be found on the SPCA of Martinsville and Henry County website mhcspca.org or 132 Joseph Martin Highway Martinsville, VA 24112 and below on our Paw Park page. Upon confirmation, you will be issued a personal security code for the electronic lock at the main gate of the park. The membership registration is January - December, regardless of when you register during the year and must be renewed every on, or after, the first day of January.
