Anders Osborne with The Trongone Band

     Join us on Thursday, Feb. 16th for one of the biggest concerts to ever take place inside the Rives Theatre, as we welcome legendary New Orleans guitar singer Anders Osborne and his fantastic band. Osborne has played regionally in the past at Rooster Walk and Floydfest. 

     What's more, we've added Richmond rockers The Trongone Band to open the show! You may remember them from their January 2016 concert at the Rives, their Brewster Walk concert at the Rives in October 2016 or from Rooster Walk in 2015 & 2016. They will take the stage around 8:30 pm.

     Between the potency of his richly detailed songwriting, his intensely emotional, soulful vocals and his piercing, expert guitar work, New Orleans’ Anders Osborne is a true musical treasure. He is among the most original and visionary musicians writing and performing today. Guitar Player calls him “the poet laureate of Louisiana’s fertile roots music scene.” New Orleans' Gambit Weekly recently honored Osborne as the Entertainer Of The Year. OffBeat named him the Crescent City’s Best Guitarist for the third year in a row, and the Best Songwriter for the second straight year.
