Set in northeast Patrick County near Fairystone State Park today and Bassett, Henry County, Virginia, Avis Turner tells the story of her grandmother Mattie Turner, who lost a husband at a young age and raised her brood of children alone. Mother, provider, and artist this book tells the story of a strong woman, who kept her family going in tough times.

Featured this year is "Promises Kept", a book of paranormal fiction by writer John Salas. He has twenty years of experience as a paranormal investigator. John Salas currently lives in Roanoke, Virginia and hosts the tv show "Inside the Paranormal."
