Classic American Literature Lights Up the Stage!

Tonight, May 7, Theatreworks is proud to present our second live stream of American Literature. This week’s reading is Eugene Field’s “The Jinin’ Farms”. Eugene Field lived from 1850 to 1895. He was primarily known as a poet, and was particularly known for his children’s poetry. He published three collections of short stories. The Jinin’ Farms was in the third, oddly titled “Second Book Of Tales.” It is a story of two men who spend their lives on two adjoining farms and is told from the point of view of one of the two men. It is a story of love, loss, and the men of that time, and culture related.

The Jinin' Farms will be read by Wes George, please join us. Tune into Theatreworks’ YouTube channel at 7 PM tomorrow and prepare to be amused, sad, and thoroughly enthralled. A link to our YouTube channel is below, or you can go to YouTube and search for “Theatreworks Community Players.”
