Halloween's Over - Time for A Tuna Christmas!

In February of 2010, TheatreWorks Community Players opened the Black Box Theatre with a sold-out production of the quirky comedy, Greater Tuna. Now almost ten years later, we celebrate the Christmas season (in November) with this hilarious sequel, A Tuna Christmas.

Yes, it's Christmas in the third-smallest town in Texas. Radio station WAOK news personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie report on various Yuletide activities, including the hot competition in the annual lawn-display contest. In other news, Joe Bob Lipsey’s production of A Christmas Carol is jeopardized by unpaid electric bills. You’ll recognize many of the colorful Tuna denizens, including cast members Betty Joe Fulcher Turner, Brian Williams, and Max Hall who were in the production nine years ago. Welcome back, y’all!

Tickets for A Tuna Christmas are available on-line, and the Visitor's Center at New College Institute on Fayette Street. Show dates and times are November 14 - 16 and 22 at 7pm; November 23 at 7:30pm (some of our cast members are in the parade) and November 24 at 2pm. If you can't plan in advance, show up on a whim and purchase a ticket at the box office. We hope to see you there!
