Meet Stephen Holland

Meet a Martinsville Insider, Stephen Holland. A Industrial Electronics Technology major at Patrick Henry Community College (PHCC), Stephen aspires to be an Electrician when he graduates.  He is currently participating in a Work Study program at The Artisan Center, a program of PHCC where he helps with special events and creating a digital inventory of art for The Artisan Center's website. Here are Stephen's tips for enjoying Martinsville-Henry County, Virginia.  

Where do you take friends and family when they come to town?

Usually we go to Hollywood Cinema to see a movie; it's different because of the location on top of Hollywood Mountain. For the night life, I usually take friends and family to the Flying Dutchman Lounge at the Dutch Inn.

Where do you go to enjoy sports and recreation?

For sports and recreation I frequent "The Catfish Pond." I also enjoy Sportlanes and Martinsville Grand Prix Go Karts.

What are your top Martinsville-Henry County dining spots?

Elizabeth's Pizza for their calzone and China Buffet.

What is the most interesting tidbit about The Artisan Center?

That we are here! A lot of people are not aware that we exist Uptown and that we add value to the community.
