Piedmont Arts Garden Party featuring After Jack

After Jack will bring "hot folk" from the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains to Piedmont Arts’ annual Garden Party on Friday, April 29. The event kicks off at 6 pm in the Gravely-Lester Art Garden.

After Jack is a musical celebration of togetherness. Named 2014 Americana Vocal Group of the Year by the Appalachian Cultural Music Association, the trio couples a modern sensibility with distinctly old-time energy to seamlessly blend bluegrass, gospel, and folk elements. Combine your most beloved musical memories with a foot-stomping string band and top it off with harmonies that spring straight from the soul of the mountains, and you’ve got After Jack.

Subway sandwiches, water and lemonade are included in the ticket price. Cash bar with beer and wine. In recognition of Child Abuse and Neglect awareness month, all social workers and counselors with a local or state ID will receive a complimentary drink ticket.

Guests should bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. No outside food or drinks are allowed at this event. In case of rain, the Garden Party will be held at Piedmont Arts.
