Event to feature live music, food trucks and more

Martinsville, VA (June 20, 2018) — Piedmont Arts’ annual Garden Party will be held Friday, June 22 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm in the Gravely-Lester Art Garden. The event will feature live music by Slick Jr. & The Reactors.

 

“We are excited to bring live music to the Garden Party again this year,” said Director of Exhibitions and Marketing Bernadette Moore. “Slick Jr. & The Reactors are well-known in the community. They’ll bring a fun blues/roots/jam vibe to the party.”

 

In addition the live music, guests can enjoy barbecue from Hylton’s Grill, a selection of craft beer from Mountain Valley Brewing, wine from Hamlet Vineyards and snow cones from Bahama Sno-Shack. There will also be yard games and rock painting for all ages.


“We are excited to work with so many great local businesses this year, including our sponsors Blue Ridge Bank, Showcase Magazine and Smith River Smiles,” said Executive Director Heidi Pinkston. “It shows off all the great things happening in our community.” 

 

Guests will be treated to light snacks, water and lemonade free of charge, but should bring cash for the bar and food trucks, as well as a lawn chair or blanket for seating. No outside food or drinks are allowed at this event. 


Tickets to Piedmont Arts’ Garden Party are $15 general admission. They are on sale now at Piedmont Arts, 215 Starling Ave., and online at PiedmontArts.org. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the event.
