Piedmont Arts On Stage Kicks Off 24th Season with Concert by Nashville's Annie Moses Band

Piedmont Arts will kick off its 24th On Stage performing arts season with a concert by the genre-hopping family band, Annie Moses Band, on Sunday, October 12 at Martinsville High School Auditorium.

Annie Moses Band has been inspiring and entertaining audiences for over a decade. Performing a captivating blend of American roots, folk, classical and jazz, Annie Moses Band is a talented ensemble of songwriters, singers and musicians, combining technical skill with exhilarating showmanship.

The band's innovative sound has delighted audiences around the world—in record breaking numbers of airings on PBS and on stages as diverse as Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry.

The members of the band are also family. Patriarch and veteran composer, Bill Wolaver, weaves musical styles together into cinematic arrangements while the family's virtuosic siblings bring Julliard-honed chops to Nashville-styled music making.

Annie Moses Band combines the best of beloved genres in a style that unifies audiences from young to old, classical connoisseurs to roots enthusiasts and jazz aficionados to bluegrass buffs.

Annie Moses Band's newest release, Rhapsody In Bluegrass, is a panoramic exploration of America and her music. Featuring favorites from Aaron Copland, George Gershwin and other quintessential American legends, Rhapsody In Bluegrass fuses Appalachian bluegrass, Irish fiddle, beloved classical themes and roots music to create a beautiful and transporting concert experience.

Piedmont Arts On Stage presents Annie Moses Band on Sunday, October 12 at 7 pm at Martinsville High School Auditorium, located at 351 Commonwealth Blvd, Martinsville.
