Piedmont Arts Presents Annual Roanoke Symphony Holiday Pops Concert, Dec. 9

Celebrate the holidays with Piedmont Arts as the museum presents the most highly anticipated show of the holiday season – Roanoke Symphony Holiday Pops – on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 7 pm at Martinsville High School Auditorium.

There’s no better way to lift your spirits than with the music of the season delivered in full sound and spectacle by the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. This year, maestro David Stewart Wiley will conduct the Holiday Pops with all the magical elements guests have come to expect – high energy, familiar carols, lots of holiday warmth, and maybe even a surprise or two.

Special guest vocalist Rob Gallagher will join the Symphony on stage. Gallagher made his Broadway debut with the 10th anniversary company of Les Miserables, eventually assuming the principal role of Inspector Javert. He also appeared on Broadway in the Tony Award-winning revival of South Pacific. Rob is a veteran of the concert stage, ranging from small, one-man cabaret shows to soloing with major symphony orchestras. He has performed in concert with the Omaha, Roanoke and Bay Atlantic Symphonies as well as the Long Island Philharmonic.

In the spirit of the holidays, Piedmont Arts will collect non-perishable food items for Grace Network in the auditorium lobby during the concert.

Tickets to Piedmont Arts presents Roanoke Symphony Holiday Pops are $25 for reserved seats, $15 for general admission and $5 for students. Tickets are on sale now at Piedmont Arts, located at 215 Starling Ave., by calling 276.632.3221 or online at PiedmontArts.org.
