The Mustangs Welcome Tyler Parsons!

The Martinsville Mustangs are excited to announce Tyler Parsons as their new General Manager. He becomes the first GM under the new management from Team Cole & Associates since they took over operations in November.

Parsons comes to the Mustangs from the Forest City Owls where he served as Director of Tickets Sales and Community Relations. Prior to the Owls, he was the Ticket Sales Coordinator at Central Michigan University and the Sports Information Director at Mid Michigan Community College. He has also spent time as a publisher with Rivals.com and coaching football at the high school level.

A native of Dansville, Michigan, Parsons graduated from Central Michigan with his B.A. in Sport Management in 2009, and his M.A. in Sport Administration in 2011.

"This is an amazing opportunity that I just couldn't pass up, and I'm grateful to Jesse Cole and Ken Silver for believing in me," added Parsons. "This team has a ton of potential and everywhere I went I could just feel the passion and sense of community with the Mustangs. I plan on doing some awesome things here in Martinsville, starting with my Three F's: Fun, Family and Foundation. The team needs to be about more than just baseball, it will be an entertainment experience. It needs to be a venue where families can come and enjoy themselves. Finally, it needs to be something built to last, not just a one year flash in the pan."

The Owls, along with the Gastonia Grizzlies, fall under the same umbrella of management, as Team Cole & Associates President Jesse Cole serves as Managing Partner for those organizations.

"We couldn't be more excited to have Tyler as our General Manager of the Mustangs," said President/Managing Partner Jesse Cole. "Coming over from our team in Forest City, Tyler knows what it takes to be successful in the Coastal Plain League and is one of the most passionate people I've ever met. I expect Tyler to immediately bring energy and enthusiasm to the Martinsville community. We are lucky to have him and I know the community will feel the same way!"

Parsons official start date with be Monday, January 28th. From that point on, the office at Hooker Field will be available to fans, customers and anyone who wants to know more about the Mustangs! He can be reached at 276-403-5250 or Tyler@MartinsvilleMustangs.com.
